What is Gnosticism? - The Gnostic Religion Explained
A Gnostic studies what others consider to be religion and uses knowledge to improve all life including their own. Historically the Gnostics were the original librarians who kept copies of any and all religious texts without discrimination. Many religious texts have good ideas and bad ideas. When one realizes they are the best judge for their own life, one can learn ideas and categorize them as they see fit. What is right? What is wrong? Best decide that for yourself. What is right should hold up to any argument against it. When you have a library or memory that does not censor or turn away any significant information, you give strength to the good ideas as they have withstood arguments against them. Having a wide understanding of world religions, one is able to live and help others greater than those who only study one or two religions.
When you take control of your life, learn to be a good driver. Learning how to learn is one of the best things to learn.
Reputation matters to a Gnostic. A Gnostic does not forgive and forget. Lies, deception, and distraction are enemies of understanding. Those who lie by claiming they understand something when not understanding it themselves are deceptive.
Fear is only thought that is not part of reality. Fear leads people to make up answers to things they do not understand. If you have no fear, you need not make up answers to things you do not know. When you do not make up answers for things you do not know, you give yourself a chance to understand what you do not understand. Do not tell me what happens after death when you do not know it yourself.
Life teaches us we should not go by blind faith. Believe what you know to be true and not what you are told is true. Is this good advice? Questioning promotes health. Is there someone or something that is greater than you or are you equally great with everything? If your pastor makes no sense or lies to you, perhaps a change would benefit you? You must care for yourself before you are able to care for others. You can not fix problems without first understanding them.
The Gnostic religion welcomes all who seek understanding without discrimination of knowledge. Once you decide to seek understanding and look away from illusion, no one can stop you from becoming Gnostic. Being Gnostic is a choice anyone can choose. Gnosis is opposite of ignorance. Ignorance is bliss. Some consider knowledge a curse or a burden of knowing. A Gnostic understands obtaining knowledge essential to achieving higher forms of life.
